"Better Than Reese's" No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars

Peanut Butter Bar Recipe

Who doesn't love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups? Now you can make a 9x13 pan of your very own, except these are even better. When we have potlucks at work, this is always my go-to recipe, and people ask me to make these even more often. They're quick, easy and don't use a ton of ingredients. You can throw them together on a weeknight and have an awesome dessert for the rest of the week (if they last that long).

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks melted butter
  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1-3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 12 oz bag chocolate chips (about 2 cups), melted

Directions

  • Mix butter, graham crackers, powdered sugar and peanut butter.
  • Place in a 9x13 pan and spread evenly. It'll be slightly sticky but should be fairly easy to spread.
  • Lick the spoon and bowl. No raw eggs here!
  • Spread melted chips on top and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chocolate begins to set. Don't forget this part -- score the bars with a knife and return them to the fridge to fully set. If you don't, they're almost impossible to cut, and the chocolate will crack and be uneven.
  • Some people like to add about 2 tablespoons of butter into the chocolate chips and melt it all together. I've never done that, but I think it makes the chocolate topping a little softer.
  • These bars are great served cold, or can be served at room temperature but they tend to get a little mushy.

Beware, if you're a fan of peanut butter and chocolate, these bars will blow any diet. I can polish off a pan in less than a day if I really wanted to. But they're so good that they're worth a few more minutes at the gym or out for a walk.

Enjoy -- and don't say I didn't warn you! They're addicting!
