I am a copy editor and page designer at a weekly agricultural and rural-life newspaper. I travel whenever I can get the time off and can afford it, and I love being outside whether it's camping, gardening, boating or just sitting in a patio chair and reading a book or magazine. I love animals and live on a 10-acre hobby farm that's currently home to eight chickens, three cats and a very spoiled senior black Lab. My husband and I also tend a very large garden and a small apple orchard. One of our goals is to become rescuers for unwanted senior golden retrievers and Labs. I am a newlywed, and my Hub will focus on doing just about anything on a budget (traveling, cooking and home remodeling to name a few). You'll also find recipes (some you may have seen before, some I've made up or altered) and any other topic that strikes my fancy.
